Temple Beth Shalom
Host or Sponsor a Congregational Oneg
The name oneg means "joy of the Sabbath" and refers to a celebratory gathering on Friday nights filled with food and socializing. Oneg volunteers provide food to share and bring our Temple Beth Shalom family closer together.
There are two ways to participate:
1. Host an oneg. When you "host," this means you bring all the food, set up and clean up.
2. Sponsor an oneg. When you "sponsor," this means you pay the temple to buy the food for you. The temple staff will set it up and clean up.
Please sign up to host or sponsor the Erev Shabbat (Friday night) oneg convenient for you. After you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email.
The oneg usually starts at 6:30 p.m., prior to the 7:00 p.m. service.
Please contact the temple office (email@example.com or 512-735-8900) with questions.
NOTE: Temple Beth Shalom is a kosher-style temple housed on a nut-free campus. Please make sure any food you bring is nut-free and also kosher style.
